Mercato Grove totals 460,000 sf, features 206 apartment units and 5,300 sf of amenity space. The community features studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment options, as well as a diverse amenity package. The units include gas appliances and sophisticated finishes and fixtures. The retail spaces are organized around a festival street atmosphere, featuring an organic mix of experiential retailers congregated around the ample internal parking and attractive outdoor public gathering areas.
This project utilized framing panelization which helped with the efficiency of the job because everything was pre-planned and laid out in a computer system ahead of time. Every wall is built into panels with their studs, window openings, door openings, sheathing, blocking, etc. to be shipped out to the job.
Mercato Grove is also home to a new mural titled “Song Bird”, an artistic collaboration between local non-profit Portland Street Art Alliance, muralist Christian Téllez, local creative agency Think Joule, and developer High Street Residential.
This project received the DJC Hard Hat Safety award in 2020 for implementing our STEP Safety Program.
